Hello! I’m JJ.
In 2004, I learned that the family who raised me was not the family I was born into. Discovering the truth of my adoption as an adult cracked open my entire world. What followed was a life-long journey of rediscovering who I truly am—and finding my way back to wholeness.
After earning a BFA in theatrical stage management, I moved from my hometown to New York City, where I reunited with both sides of my biological family. In a twist of fate, I learned that my birth father’s family had been living in New York City all along—just blocks from where I was.
Years later, my husband, children, and I moved to Asheville, North Carolina. Surrounded by the mountains and immersed in the rhythms of nature, I deepened my inner work. There, I found chosen family, reconnected with my spirit, and grew a sense of compassion for all beings.
The final turning point came through my training with Upbuild, a transformational coaching organization based in New York City. That experience solidified my purpose: to walk with others through their own transitions, stories, and awakenings.
I wasn’t told I was adopted until I was 20 years old.
That was when I began my healing journey - coming home to myself.
Listen to my story on becoming enough - where I share how to maintain an awareness of our true selves.
Many of us believe we aren’t enough at some point in our lives. I invite you to listen to the ways I held this belief for myself and how I was able to begin reconnecting to my true self.

I’ve spent the last decades rediscovering who I am, and now I’m here to co-create a healing journey for you.
Hear how a change in state adoption law impacted my life.
When Ohio opened adoption records for more than 400,000 adopted people, I was able to deepen my healing by reclaiming a lost identity and forging relationships with family members previously disconnected by closed adoption.
Coming Home to Myself
Becoming my true self meant:
Removing the mask of who others wanted me to be, and stepping into the truth of who I really am.
Finding the people I came from, in the place we came from.
Looking at another person and, for the first time, seeing myself in someone else’s face, eyes, voice, temperament, sense of humor, and body language.
When I saw myself in others, I could finally claim those traits as my own. I knew where they came from—and how they appeared outside of me.
Moving through this life feeling rooted in something deeper than myself—feeling connected to the greater human existence.

We know that human connection is vital to survival. When we connect to our true selves, we create the conditions to authentically connect to each other.
I look forward to connecting with YOU.
I bring an open heart, respect, determination, playfulness, curiosity, intuition, compassion, presence, and joy to my sessions.
For my clients, I provide a safe space to connect authentically, explore, grow, and transform.
Let’s rise up together.
